Fort Lewis
On March 22, 2001, the U.S. Army in
Fort Lewis, Washington awarded Nortex Modular Space a contract to provide five
36'x64' Classroom buildings and one 28'x50' Break Room/Restroom facilities
building. The 13,000 square foot project was manufactured by Blazer Industries
in Aumsville, Oregon and the delivery and setup of the complex was completed, on
schedule, by the middle of June, 2001, less than 90 days from the date of order!
The buildings featured pitched composition shingle roofs, Duratemp T1-11 wood
siding, continuous gutters and downspouts, 2'x4' suspended grid T-Bar ceilings,
dual glazed windows with security bars and mini blinds and vinyl covered
sheetrock interior wallcovering. Specialized electrical components to meet the
specific needs of Fort Lewis Army personnel were incorporated into the design
and pricing. Nortex also included the metal steps and Duratemp wood skirting to
match the siding.
