Resume of Jim Attrell – VP Sales, Nortex Modular Space, Lewisville,
Texas
Jim Attrell has 34 years of experience in the relocatable building business
dating back to 1970 in Calgary, Canada where Jim was employed by Atco
Structures, one of the world's largest factory-direct suppliers of temporary and
permanent modular buildings. There he worked as a Lease Fleet Administrator
(over a fleet of 1700 modular units), Production Administrator, Contracts
Administrator, Project Manager and Sales Representative over a nine (9) year
period of time.
Jim left the firm in 1980 to help form a new Oil Well Drilling Contractor named
Spartan Drilling. There he worked as a Contracts Manager in Tioga, North Dakota,
General Manager in Sidney, Montana, and then Vice President of Marketing, based
in Houston, Texas, over a five (5) year period of employment. Jim was involved
with the manufacture and lease of some of the most modern modular drilling rigs
and modular man-camps ever constructed anywhere in the world and played an
important role in all aspects of the business. After a severe downturn in the
business, Jim left the firm in 1985 and joined Space Master's new branch
operation in Houston, Texas.
Jim was promoted to Branch Manager and then Commercial Sales Manager while
employed by Space Master in Houston and then was transferred to Dallas in 1989
where he became the Branch Manager, then Region Manager and then Vice President
and General Manager of the Southwest Region of the Company.
There he was responsible for six (6) branches with over 40 employees pursuing
both the mobile office trailer business and the permanent modular building
construction business. Jim was involved with training new personnel on a daily
basis and was responsible for a period of tremendous growth in the company's
Southwest Region.
Jim left the company in 1995 and after spending three years serving
Government with the turnkey installation of modular buildings and working as the
Sales manager in a Modular Building manufacturing plant called MPA Modular in
Arlington, Texas. He then rejoined Space Master in 1998 as SW Region Sales
Manager, Business Development Group.
The company was sold shortly thereafter and Jim joined Nortex Modular Space
as the Sales Manager and part owner.
Jim is a past member of the Highland Village City Council, a past leader of
the 94th Kingsland Boy Scout Troop, a level 4 certified Hockey Coach and enjoys
golf, photography and family outings. He is currently serving Trustee of
Christian Community Action in Lewisville, Texas and serves as a volunteer at
Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church in Flower Mound, Texas. He is married
with five children and seven grand-children and has resided in Highland Village,
Texas since 1989.
